CHANDIGARH, July 23: The Chandigarh unit of Society for Prevention of RUELTY to Animals (SPCA) has got representation in the national executive of the Animal Welfare Board of India. Its president Jasbir Ralhan, was nominated on the national executive of the board, by its chairman, retired chief justice of Assam High Court, Justice Guman Mal Lodha, during a meeting which was held recently.Among others who will be the members of the executive include its chairman, vice-chairman, one member each from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, besides a representative from the Ministry of Environment and Forests and representatives of four other societies all over the country, including SPCA.
