The Pratapgarh Police may have nabbed the killers of the Dalit boy, Chakrasen Gautam, yet according to the Citizens Audit Group, there are still many loopholes in the FIR. The forum, which has been closely studying the case of Gautam’s murder, presented its report on Friday.

As per former IG and social activist S R Darapuri, the police have not recorded the facts correctly. “We have studied the FIR in detail and have attempted to find out how the police have acted in the entire incident. The role of the police is doubtful,” he said.

Darapuri said, the police delayed the process of filing the FIR. “The incident took place at around 5.30 am, the police recorded it at 10.30 am and the FIR was lodged at around 7 pm,” he said.
