Churchill need win to stay on second spot

Margao, March 24: Buoyed by their win against Salgaocar (Goa), second-placed Churchill Brothers would be looking for a win on Saturday to collect full points and finish second behind this year’s title holders Calcutta’s Mohun Bagan. They lock horns with JCT Mills (Phagwara) in their last round match of the fourth edition Coca-Cola National Football League match at Nehru Stdium, Fatorda on Saturday.

Churchill defence will be manned by Osumanu Hussani, Denzil Ferrao, Anthony Mathew and Anthony D’Souza and in the goal will be expereinced Edward Ansah.

JCT too have a good attacking line spearheaded by Hardeep Gill, who scored seven goals. Helping him will be Jaswinder Singh. In the mid-field will be Harvinder Singh, who will be assisted by Ram Pal and Hardeep Singh. Their defence will be looked by Ranjit Singh, Kuldip Singh and Jaswant Singh.
