KOLHAPUR, FEB 21: Tension prevailed for some time at the Ujalaiwadi aerodrome today, when grass near the runway caught fire when crackers were burst for welcoming Chief Minister Narayan Rane.
However, fire-brigademen put off the fire immediately.

Meanwhile, Rane who arrived here for the first time after becoming Chief Minister, was received at the aerodrome by Maharashtra Minister of State for Employment Guarantee Scheme Bharmu Subrao Patil, district collector Arvind Singh, Inspector General of Police Kolhapur Omprakash Bali, MLAs, top Government officials, and Shiv Sena-BJP leaders.
