For BJP, BRT is pet topic of discussion
Out from nearly a six-hour brainstorming session to finalise the candidates and after being pushed and pulled by protesters, Delhi BJP president Dr Harshvardhan did not fail from picking on the party’s favourite topic – the BRT. “Our meeting was to begin at 9 am, but Arun Jaitley got delayed due to a traffic jam in the BRT corridor. The meeting could begin only at 10:30 am because of the delay,” he said in all earnestness.

Printing problem ahead of polls
Seems that the electoral office has a problem at hand. After the ordeal of compiling photo electoral rolls for the entire city, officials are getting sleepless nights over printing the voter ID cards to be distributed by next week. Reason: the machines provided by the private firm in charge of printing these voter cards with the photographs of the voter cannot bear the weight of the Delhi electorate. According to senior officials, machines in many districts broke down after printing only 6,000 cards that are to be laminated as well, delaying the distribution process. Hiding behind the “festival season” excuse and machines being fixed, officials now say that distribution will begin by Monday.
