For Amit Tandon, playing the character of the NRI Abhay Singh in Saath Saath Banayenge Ek Ashiyaan on Zee TV was an easy task, because of his Canadian origin and the firang accent he sports. But after a successful run, Tandon has decided to call it quits. The channel has subsequently roped in Salil Acharya as a substitute in the show. Salil who has been a part of popular shows like Yeh Meri Life Hai, Kasauti Zindagi Ki, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Thi, Kittu Sab Janti Hai and Kasturi, is very excited about the role he has bagged. But matching Tandon8217;s American twang is going to be difficult.

Neena Gupta has her plate full these days. After her much talked about wedding with Vivek Mehra, Neena is now resurrecting her career. She will make a comeback with her character of Manno Bhabhi in Saath Phere. She has been given the liberty to design her costumes, jewellery and hairstyle. Interestingly, the lehenga- cum -saree that she plans to drape in the show has been inspired by her costume that she had worn in her mehndi-sangeet ceremonies. We8217;ll keep our fingers crossed.
