St. George’s School made their debut a memorable one, outplaying the Chandigarh boys in all departments of the game. Their passing, dribbling and ball control were superb. So good was their dominance that they did not allow the Chandigarh team to have a shy at the goal at all. The Mussoorie boys took control of the proceedings right from the start and opened the account in the 24th minute.
A move from the left saw Rohit Negi getting a pass in the middle and he despatched a powerful shot from 35 yards which dipped in and gave the goalkeeper no chance. In the next minute, Sandeep Gurang headed the ball in off a cross from the right to make it 2-0. The third goal came midway through the second half. Midfielder Shanta Mani broke through from the middle to the left and beat a couple of defenders to cut in and slip the ball to Siddharth Thapa who easily placed the ball in.
