BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussein organised an Iftar dinner for friends and journalists he also invited them over for Eid lunch. At the gathering, a senior BJP functionary noticed that not a single topi-wearing Muslim was visible. A group without topis does not make an apt ambience for Iftar, so a solution was suggested: now on caps would be provided to invitees. It transpires that when AB Vajpayee organised Muslim functions, Vijay Goel brought a large number of caps for the function. Apparently Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan also keeps a cache of caps for such occasions.
