
VADODARA, July 20: The Baroda University Teachers’ Association (BUTA) office-bearers said on Saturday, in the special general body meeting, that the overdue meetings of the past two years would be convened before August 31. About 179 teachers from various faculties of the M S University attended the meeting, which was called after several years.
During the meeting the members were also assured that the elections which were overdue from the past few years would also be held before September. The pros and cons of the indefinite strike to be called by the AIFUTCO were also discussed during the associations’s two-hour meeting.
BUTA members, totalling to 109, also raised the issue of not conducting elections and meetings on time.
