The Suessen Asia Limited, manufacturing textile machinery has introduced a new technology called compact spinning for ring spinning machines. The technology has been patented under the name of EliTe. The first EliTe machine was handed over to STI Limited through their president R K Bhatnagar. Compact Spinning can be realised without any adverse effect on the operational safety standard expected of ring spinning frames.
Magazine of the Year
Fireside, the quarterly house magazine of energy and environment major Thermax Ltd won the Magazine of the Year award at the 38th Awards Nite of the Association of Business Communicators of India ABCI. This is the fourth time that Fireside has been conferred with the Magazine of the Year award by ABCI, an Indian body of business communicators from all industry segments. The magazine8217;s regular column Reaching Out8217; authored by the chairperson Anu Aga recieved the first prize in that category. ABCI recieved around 400 entries.
BoM branch open for 7 days
The Deccan Gymkhana branch of Bank of Maharashtra will remain open seven days a week for the convenience of the customers. The new facility was declared open by Dr Shirish Prayag. Kishore Vaze, deputy general manager, Pune City region was also present on the occasion.

Vista Processed Foods Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between McDonalds India and OSI of USA is launching a number of processed foods in Pune. These include Chunky Chicken Nuggets, Spicy Chicken Fingers, Shahi Chicken Cutlets, peppered chicken bites, veg cutlets, veg chaat nuggets and spicy veg fingers. The company8217;s products are priced in the range from Rs 30 to Rs 50. The company proposes to launch its products in the city with 27 outlets. The company has invested Rs six crore in creating separate lines for veg and non-veg products.
