CHENNAI, July 26: Typewriting and shorthand proficiency examinations were conducted for visually-handicapped persons by the Staff Selection Commission here, to recruit them as lower divisions clerks (LDCs) and stenographers in the Central Government service. More than 200 candidates from Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh appeared for this examination.
