The BJP would comfortably win in the just concluded assembly polls in Karnataka by securing 132 to 135 seats in the 224-member house, senior party leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said on Thursday.
“BJP is sure to win the assembly polls with a comfortable margin and would secure 132-135 seats in the elections,” Yeddyurappa, who was in Kannur to visit the famous Raja Rajeshwara temple at the neighbouring Taliparamba town, told a private TV channel Thursday evening.
Yeddyurappa, who was also former Deputy Chief Minister in the H D Kumaraswamy led government, said he would again pay visit to the temple after his party’s victory in the polls, which concluded on Thursday.
Yeddyurappa also visited the Madayi Devi temple along with his close relatives.
The counting of the three-phased polls would be held on May 25.
