Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi advanced to the quarterfinals of the $ 1 million ATP tennis event in Moscow. Other Indians at the Indonesian event including top seeded Sania Mirza, Rushmi Chakravarthi, Isha Lakhani, Liza Pereira and Shruti Dhawan were to begin their campaign later in the day.
