If wishes were horses, Union ministers would certainly ride them to Rashtrapati Bhavan. Since Kalam left his charge on Raisina Hill last July, the ministers have received one less greeting on their birthdays. Used to at least two high-profile calls, one from the President and one from the Prime Minister, they found that Pratibha Patil8217;s office did not wish them on their special days. Not that they are complaining. The one phone call from the Prime Minister assures them that they still enjoy his confidence.
