Differences between Pakistan’s chief selector Wasim Bari and coach Bob Woolmer has come in the open with the latter accusing the Englishman of “forcing his will” on the selection committee.
Bari said he disagreed with the selection of two spinners and dropping of an opener from the one-day squad for the series against India and would take up the matter with the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan.
“Woolmer’s interference in selection committee matters made our job really difficult and we the selection committee members are not finding it easy to perform our duties,” Bari said.
Woolmer had reportedly refused to accept Imran Farhat and Yasir Hameed for the ODI series.
