Bangarappa to launch SP in Karnataka soon

It is official now. Former Karnataka chief minster S. Bangarappa, whose BJP-bashing had given enough indication over ‘riding cycle again’, will soon be launching the state unit of Samajwadi Party. Though Bangarappa said the ‘‘polarisation of old socialists’’ was still in discussion levels, he added that the whole process would be completed before elections to local bodies such as zila panchayat and taluk panchayats.

Bangarappa divulged the plan after UP Higher Education Minister Ram Aasre Vishwakarma called on him. Vishwakarma said he had invited Bangarappa to join hands with Yadav and launch SP in Karnataka. Stating these were natural processes, Bangarappa said no final discussion had taken place in this regard. ‘‘I have known Yadav for the last several years and the two parallel lines had to meet somewhere,’’ he added.
