FEBRUARY 9: Additional Metropolitan Magistrate V N Dixit today issued a bailable warrant against Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, who is also editor of his party8217;s Hindi mouthpiece Dopahar Ka Saamna.
The warrant was issued in a defamation case filed by Minister of State for Home Kripashankar Singh. Singh has lodged a complaint against Dopahar Ka Saamna under Sections 500 and 501 of the Indian Penal Code for carrying a defamatory article against him three years ago.
