CHANDIGARH, June 17: A co-accused in a murder case, Sham Lal, was granted bail, while the prime accused, Tarsam Lal’s bail was rejected by UT District and Sessions Judge B. S. Bedi, here today.
Sham Lal was directed to be released after furnishing a personal bond of Rs 20,000 along with surety of a like amount.
The duo were booked by the Chandigarh Police under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code after one Hira Lal died of stab injuries. According to the prosecution, the deceased had been stabbed by the prime accused on June 21, 1997.
