NEW DELHI, Nov 15: Former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin on Wednesday ended his self-imposed isolation and got in touch with the cricket Board’s anti-corruption commissioner K Madhavan and agreed to meet the Board’s watchdog on Thursday.

Madhavan will meet Azharuddin, who had remained elusive ever since the CBI report on betting and match-fixing in cricket was submitted to the government, on November 16 in Hyderabad, Board sources told PTI.

The sources said Madhavan, the former CBI joint director, agreed to meet Azharuddin in Hyderabad as the former skipper had expressed his apprehensions that no other Indian city would be safe for him.

There is still no decision about the date for meeting former Delhi captain Ajay Sharma, who failed to keep his appointment with Madhavan here on the plea that he had not received a copy of the CBI report.
