MUMBAI, May 30: Azad Maidan Centre won the ninth Kalpesh Govind Koli cricket tournament when they beat Rest of MCA by 36 runs in the MCA summer vacation camps under-16 cricket tournament, sponsored by Maharaja Fatesinghrao Gaekwad Sports Foundation at Matunga, today. Azad Maidan, batting first, went on to score 227-6 in 45 overs, thanks to a half century by Sagar Dumbre (78 10×4) and an unbeaten 48 by left-hander Hiken Shah. Both put on 79 runs for the fifth wicket.

Rest of MCA shone for a brief spell. They were tottering at 85 for six before opener Girish Vaswani (81 5×4) and Sanchit Pande (29) added 94 runs. After Vaswani was bowled, Rest collapsed for 194 in 43.2 overs. Wicket-keeper Rashid Shaikh of Azad Maidan claimed six victims, one caught and five stumped.
