MUMBAI, OCT 18: The action and adventure television channel AXN has instituted an award — AXN Action Cricketer — for excellence in domestic cricket in India. The award will carry a prize of Rs 4 lakh, besides Rs 1 lakh for the other four contenders in fray.

Announcing the award at a function recently, Achal Mehra, Director, AXN, South Asia said, “domestic cricket in India has been a neglected category. The award therefore has been instituted with an objective of promoting and nurturing budding talent.”
