CHENNAI, OCT 15: A metropolitan magistrate here today directed all the four accused in the auditor assault case, including AIADMK supremo Jayalalitha and her close friend Sasikala, to be present in the court on December 1 to receive copies of the chargesheet.
When the matter came up today before the 18th Metropolitan Magistrate Justin George, only Mahadevan, nephew of Sasikala and another accused in the case, Venkatesh, were present. During the last few hearings, the chargesheet copies could not be given as one or the other accused were not present.
The alleged assult took place in March when Jayalalitha’s auditor R Rajasekhar had gone to her residence after he had been summoned. Rajasekhar alleged that he was assaulted by all the four accused and was asked to sign some papers.
A chargesheet in the case was filed in the court in June by the police.
