
NEW DELHI, JUNE 23: The Government has made arrangements to bring the body of Archbishop Alan De Lastic from Poland, where he died after his car met with an accident on Wednesday, by an Air India flight on Sunday, Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI) said on Friday.
"The mortal remains of Archbishop Alan De Lastic will be brought to Delhi from Poland by the Government on Sunday morning as per information given to Church," CBCI said in a release.
This was confirmed by P P Shukla, Joint Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), to a delegation of Christian leaders who called on him, it said.
Meanwhile, according to another communique received on Friday morning from the new administrator of the Delhi Archdiocese Father D’Souza, the funeral mass will be held at St Columbus School ground on Tuesday next.
