HYDERABAD, MARCH 16: Liquor prices in Andhra Pradesh are expected to drop marginally with the State Government deciding to rationalise the duty structure in a bid to check smuggling of IMFL from neighbouring states.In lieu of the auction system prevailing now, retail liquor shops will henceforth be allotted on the basis of licensing system. The licence fee will vary depending on the population. The decision was taken by the Chandrababu Naidu Cabinet today. The new IMFL policy is expected to be placed before the State Assembly tomorrow before it is given effect from April 1.
