HYDERABAD, December 26: The Andhra Pradesh government has constituted a Pay Revision commission (PRC) benefiting over 10 lakh employees.
As per the Government Order issued in this regard, the new PRC will have to submit its report within a year from the date of assumption of charge and a commissioner would be appointed soon. The last pay revision of the State government employees was effected in June 1992.
The appointment of a PRC for the employees was in tune with the government’s agreement with the representatives of the joint action committee of employees, teachers and workers of Andhra Pradesh and the Telangana non-gazetted officers union (TNGOs) earlier this month. The government stated that the constitution of the PRC was necessitated by the implementation of the Fifth Central Pay Commission.
