
MUMBAI, DECDEMBER 22: ST Andrew’s, Bandra avenged their loss to St Anne’s, Orlem, in the MSSA-Colgate inter-school U-14 hockey league final, in the U-14 Donnelly Cup final at home today. Andrew’s prevailed 4-2 in the tie-breaker. Apostolic Carmel made it a grand day for Bandra, when they defeated St Joseph, Vikhroli, 3-2 via the sudden death in the girls U-14 league final.
St Anne’s went ahead through a field goal by Dylan Sequeira in the 5th minute, but Andrew’s equalised through Zeeshan Merchant’s penalty corner conversion.
In the tie-breaker, Andrew’s scored through Afzal Shaikh, Gavin Pereira and Zeeshan Merchant. Nasim Ansari brought off two good saves, blocking hits by Reece Pereira and Reuben D’Souza to make Andrew’s day.
