Chinmaya chins up
NEW DELHI: Services skipper Chinmaya Sharma (batting 90: 11×4, 1×6, 131b, 212m) made mockery of Delhi’s decision to put the opposition in first when he guided his team to 270 for seven on the first day of the North Zone league match at Kotla today.
But for two quick wicketsclaimed by Amit Bhandari with the second new ball towards the close of play, Services would have finished the day in a stronger position. Bhandari removed a defiant Amit Nadkarni (33: 6×4, 64b) and Sanjay Sirsat (0) in the space of three deliveries for Delhi’s revival.
Brief scores: Services 270-7 (Chinmaya Sharma batting 90; Amit Bhandari 3-50).
