AIIMS doctor wins Young Neurosurgeon Award

The award, constituted by the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and Council for State Neurosurgical Societies will be conferred to Deepak Agarwal.

Deepak Agarwal, a leading doctor of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), has been selected for the prestigious ‘Young Neurosurgeon Award 2008’ for adapting advanced neurosurgery techniques for use in developing countries like India.

The award, constituted by the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) and Council for State Neurosurgical Societies (CSNS), will be conferred to Agarwal, an assistant professor (Neurosurgery) in AIIMS, in September, an AIIMS release said.

The award is given to individuals, selected by a committee of CSNS, for their research with the most socio- economic impact worldwide in the field of neurosurgery.
