Ahmedabad blasts: PM asks people to maintain communal harmony

Condemning the serial bomb blasts in Ahmedabad, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh sanctioned an ex-gratia payment of Rs 1 lakh to the next of kin of those dead.

Condemning the serial bomb blasts in Ahmedabad, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh sanctioned an ex-gratia payment of Rs 1 lakh to the next of kin of those dead.

He also announced a compensation of Rs 50,000 for those injured in the blasts.

He has expressed grief over the loss of lives and sent his condolences to the families of the bereaved, PM’s Media Advisor Sanjaya Baru said in a statement.
