The Babri Masjid Action Committee (bmac) was contemplating moving the court to have former PM A.B. Vajpayee included as an accused in the Ayodhya case in the wake of his purported statement on a video cd a day before the demolition of the disputed structure.‘‘The video CD purportedly showing Vajpayee exhorting the people to demolish the Babri Masjid proves that he too was involved in the conspiracy,’’ the board counsel and Babri Masjid Action Committee (BMAC) convenor Zafaryab Jilani said here today.‘‘We shall explore the possibilities of including Vajpayee’s name as one of the accused along with others,’’ he said. The committee would be holding discussions with senior lawyers representing the case in the court and the all India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) on the issue, he said. Jilani said the CBI had not bothered to include Vajpayee in the case as an accused though the ‘‘video CD has proved that he was hand in glove in the conspiracy leading to the demolition of the disputed structure.’’ The BMAC would take up the demand for his inclusion as an accused on February 24, next when its petition challenging the exoneration of L.K. Advani in the case would be heard by the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court.
