CHANDIGARH, June 3: City ayurveds have appealed to the UT Administration and the Punjab government to accord due status to the ayurvedic system of medicine. This appeal was issued at the felicitation function organised for Dr S.K. Mishra, Chairman of the Education Committee of Central Council of Indian Medicine, here yesterday.
Addressing the delegates, the chairman of the local unit of Ayurvedic Maha-Sammelan, Dr Jagjit Singh, highlighted the advances made in the field of ayurveda. Dr Mishra assured the delegates that he would take up the issue of according due status to ayurveda with the authorities.
