PANHALA, Aug 12: Aati kya Panhala… has been the buzz word for this mist-covered fort town these days with sensuous Bollywood beauty Sonali Bendre swaying to the tune of tapori Aamir Khan for a love sequence in Sarfarosh, now on the sets.

With the Bollywood chartbuster Aati kya Khandala… still going strong, the historic fort town is gripped by Amir-mania. Hundreds of Amir-kinds poured out at Pusati Buruj, the setting for the rain-soaked love song Voh haal hain dilka…..The scene went Aati kya Panhala… way with love bug-smitten Aamir and Sonali facing the camera with the warmth of the Panhala crowd engulfing them. The stars took out time for the fans and Aamir enjoyed every youngster greeting him with the ubiquitous tapori number from Ghulam.

Additional police posse had to be summoned from police headquarters in Kolhapur to help the local police keep the crowds at bay while the shooting was on. “Initially I just brushed it aside as a rumour. Some months back Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit were supposed to be shooting atop the fort. They never turned up,” said a resident of Panhala.

The stars’ arrival at the Shalini Palace was a grand photo opportunity for local lensemen. Flash-guns flashed in an unending sequence when Aamir drove in his elegant Opel Astra, well after Sunday midnight. The film crew also visited the drenched greenery of Radhanagari and Gaganbawada for another shooting schedule, before packing up for — well, where else — Khandala!
