6 CRPF jawans dead, 6 injured in MCC bandh

Six CRPF jawans were killed and an equal number of Jharkhand police personnel injured in two separate incidents in Latehar district during the 48-hour bandh called by Naxalites belonging to the Maoist Communist Centre (MCC). The bandh ended today.

The first incident took place near the Chandawa police station this morning around 11 am when a patrol party was ambushed by the MCC ultras resulting in the death of one CRPF constable and injury to six personnel of the Jharkhand police.

The second incident occurred near the Amjharia valley on the Ranchi-Palamau road around 5 pm when a convoy of four police vehicles were attacked by the ultras.
