MOGA, July 20: About 3,000 teachers, including 1,800 relieved teachers, of various teachers’ organisations blocked traffic on G.T. road at Subedar Joginder Singh Chowk, here on Saturday evening. Traffic between Moga and other towns, including Amritsar, Ludhiana and Ferozepur, remained suspended and hundreds of passengers were stranded.

The relieved teachers were protesting against the indifferent attitude of the state education department towards their demand of rehabilitation. The rally was addressed among others by Jagrup Singh (assistant secretary, Punjab CPI).
