SAS NAGAR, Jan 6: The Punjab unit of Indian Red Cross Society in collaboration with the Lioness Clubs of Chandigarh and Panchkula today organised a blood donation camp today at Mohali Government College. One hundred and five students and staff members donated blood at the camp.
The camp was inaugurated by principal S.S. Gill (retd) who himself has donated blood for 56 times. A team from PGI Blood Bank Society, Chandigarh, led by Dr Usha and Dr Kanwal collected the blood. According to spokesman of the Red Cross, more such camps would be organised in the educational institutions of the state and the young would be motivated to donate blood.
