The selfie project: This week’s spotlight is on Swastika Mukherjee

The selfie project is a feature on the spaces and objects that define our work and home life through the selfie.

At home: This selfie is with my teenaged daughter Anwesha at a Durga Pujo pandal next to our south Kolkata house this year. I try to take time off from work on ashtami, the main day of the festival, to offer anjali. Even then, I am busy innaugrating puja pandals during the festival and then there are puja competitions to judge too.

At work: I clicked this one with my director-cum-partner Suman Mukhopadhyay in a speed boat in Indonesia. We were there to promote our film Shesher Kobita, based on Rabindranath Tagore’s iconic novel, earlier this year. I played the westernised character Ketaki in it. We had a great time during our tour of south-east Asia, exploring new cultures and trying out new cuisines. The fear of falling off the boat didn’t stop the selfie hungry me though.
