At home
This is me and Bilaeeya on a regular working day. I’m trying to write, and she has a huge fondness for pressing the keys on my MacBook. She likes the sound they make when you tap them. We have arguments about this every day. Some days she wins, some days I do. This is a truce day.

At work
This is me going off to the first day of the Jaipur Lit Fest. I love visiting Jaipur, the city stirs my Rajput roots more than any place else. I’ve always felt turbans should be made unisex – they’re such a symbol of prestige and power. How come men get to hog them and we have to bend our necks under a lousy old ghoonghat?
