Ski India transports you to cooler climes, even if briefly
STEPPING into the snow park, one is greeted by a blast of icy cold air and for a minute, one finds it hard to believe one is still in the Capital. The -15 degree temperature offers a much-needed relief from the extreme heat outside. The 100-feet ski slope offers just the right amount of fun for beginners, although it does little to actually let you ski.
People can be seen dancing under the snowfall, making snow angels, having snowball fights and mostly, posing for pictures. Dubbed as the snow-themed ski park in the country, Ski India is a good place for a family trip or for some solo ski adventure. Time management is key here, so make the most of the 1.5 hours that you get to spend, as there are long queues at every attraction.
“The response received till now has been fabulous, about 2,475 leave this place feeling ecstatic,” said Merwyn Noronha, Business Head, Ski India. Spread over 1,00,000 sq ft, the recently opened amusement park offers rides such as sledging, snow scooter, ice skating, snow carousel and snow play area. The company runs a similar Snow World in Mumbai.
