Cooking by humans might soon be thing of the past, especially for those who despise doing it or those who have little time. Robots and machines might just take over your kitchen as you relax on your couch after a long day at work. A London-based company has developed a prototype robo-chef for home. And looking at how it works, home-made food without slogging in the kitchen looks quite achievable. Moley Robotics, the company behind this pathbreaking technological innovation, will demonstrate it at this year's Hannover Messe, a trade fair for industrial technology held annually in Germany, says Factor magazine. The product might actually take a couple of years to launch in the market. The robot would do everything from assembling the ingredients to chopping them to stirring, pouring, adding ingredients, and also cleaning after it is done. This is not the first time robots have been involved in cooking. * Robots run the game in this Chinese restaurant According to a report by BBC, a restaurant in China has no human presence in the kitchen. Yes, the delicious and aromatic food is prepared by robot staff who go through the cooking process dexterously. One robotic limb pours oil in the wok and another stir fries the ingredients. Another machine serves the food in plates and yet another takes it to the customers. Customers are anything but unsatisfied with the arrangement and this also gives huge cost benefits to its owner. A win-win for all. * A gadget that does all the cooking A protoype called The Cooki from Sereneti Kitchen comes to the rescue for those who don't want to cook, wait, stir - basically follow the steps involved in cooking. All you need to do is assemble the ingredients, do all the chopping and the gadget will take care of the rest.
