“Having a birthmark distinguishes me – and I don’t feel that it has ever held me back,” she told in an exclusive conversation with Daily Mail.

Cassandra was born with this birthmark and her parents had the option to remove it but the procedure could have left her face severely scarred. Today the lady is happy with her parent’s decision as she feels the birthmark is part of who she is. “Having a birthmark distinguishes me – and I don’t feel that it has ever held me back,” she told Daily Mail.

But there was a point when she did want to get it removed. When she was 13, she told her parents she wish to get it removed and they immediately booked an appointment with a plastic surgeon. She however decided against it, for there was a risk of her face getting scarred.

Today she loves to flaunt the birthmark and would not even want it photoshopped for professional purposes.
