Jacqueline Fernandez takes over New York in stunning red sari for 41st India Day Parade

Jacqueline Fernandez is a true-blue fashion icon, and the actor never misses absolutely any chance to leave everyone in awe of her retro-inspired chic style. We saw something similar when she made a stunning appearance at the 41st India Day Parade in New York. “Thank you for making me a part of the 41st India Day Parade in New York! It was truly an overwhelming moment,” she wrote on Instagram.

For the unversed, the India Day Parade in NYC is an annual event celebrating Indian culture, heritage, and contributions, typically held on or around India’s Independence Day, August 15. The parade features vibrant displays of Indian culture, including traditional music, dance performances, colourful floats, and a wide array of ethnic attire.

For the occasion, Jacqueline opted for a red sari with intricately embroidered and embellished lace trim borders. It was paired with a matching embellished blouse featuring a sweetheart neckline and a knee-length cape jacket with sheer fabric.

The actor let her outfit do all the talking as she accessorised it with minimal accessories – a pair of emerald and gold drop earrings. With her hair tied in a sleek ponytail, she added to the glam with a red bindi, shimmery eyeshadow, kohled eyes, sleek eyeliner, blushed and highlighted cheeks, and glossy nude lip colour.

Jacqueline, however, wasn’t the only actor representing the country at the famed parade. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, too, posted stunning pictures from the event. She was seen wearing a black hand-embroidered net sari by designer Arpita Mehta. It featured intricate embellishments on borders and eye-catching sequin work all over. She teamed it with a heavily-embellished sleeveless blouse featuring hand embroidery, mirror embellishments, and a plunging neckline.

She accessorised her sari with rings, a bracelet, dangling earrings, and high heels. As for the glam, she opted for sleek eyeliner, kohled eyes, blushed cheeks, shimmery eyeshadow, and dark lip colour.
