Diljit Dosanjh just debuted at the Met Gala—and it is one for the books. The singer, who had earlier detailed the event invite on his Instagram, opted for a look that represented his culture in all its glory on the global platform.

Seen in a ‘Maharaja look’ created by ace fashion designer Prabal Gurung, Diljit was seen wearing an off-white achkan and pajama, along with a turban and a floor-length cape that featured the map of Punjab, multiple significant motifs, and the Gurmukhi alphabet written at the back.

The star affirmed the Punjabi identity by carrying this on his back — quite literally. For a diaspora artist whose global rise hasn’t diluted his cultural core, this was the perfect way to narrate that story.
