SSC GD application 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the application process for the General Duty (GD) Constable recruitment. Interested candidates can apply for the SSC GD 2025 constable vacancies on the official website – ssc.gov.in. The Commission aims to fill as many as 39,481 vacancies as part of the recruitment process.

Question: What is the application date for SSC GD 2025?
Answer: The Commission has opened the application for SSC GD from September 5. The last date to fill out the application form is October 14. The last date to pay the registration fee is October 15.
Question: What is the age limit for the SSC GD?
Answer: In order to be eligible for the SSC GD 2025, candidates must be between 18 and 23 years old. Their date of birth should fall between 2 January 2002 and 1 January 2007 (both dates included). Candidates from reserved categories are given age relaxation as per the government rules.

Question: What are the dates when SSC will open the application correction window?
Answer: Students who will make errors in the application will get time to correct it from November 5 till November 7 till 11 pm.
Question: What is the force-wise tentative vacancy in SSC GD 2025?
Answer: According to the SSC GD 2024 notification, 10 per cent of the total vacancies are earmarked for ex-servicemen (ESM), in cases, where candidates are not available, vacancies reserved for ESM will be filled by non-ESM candidates of the respective categories.
Question: What is the exam pattern of SSC GD?
Answer: The SSC GD will have an objective type questions in a computer based mode with two marks each. There will be four parts — general intelligence and reasoning, general knowledge and awareness, elementary mathematics and English and Hindi. Answer: The crucial date for this purpose will be 01-01-2025 that is the NCC certificate must have been issued on or before 01-01-2025.
Question: How are PST and PET different?
Answer: Based on the performance in the computer test, candidates will be shortlisted for PST/ PET by the Commission. Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PST/ PET. PET stands for Physical Efficiency Test while, PST expands as Physical Standard Test.
On reporting of female candidates for PST (Physical Standard Test)/ PET (Physical Efficiency Test), a self-declaration indicating about her pregnancy status shall be submitted. In case, if she declares that she is not pregnant then, she will be allowed to participate in the PST/ PET, read the brochure.

While the PST is comprehensive than PET. PST takes into account certain factors like height, chest, and weight of the candidates. Scrutiny of eligibility of candidates for relaxations in height and chest measurement will be carried out after qualifying PET (race) and before PST by the CAPFPST/ PET Boards.c

Answer: “Pay Level -1 (Rs 18,000 to 56,900) for the post of Sepoy in NCB and Pay Level – 3 (₹21,700/- to ₹ 69,100/-) for all other posts.” read the notification.
Question: What is the mode of selection?
Answer: The recruitment process will consist of a computer-based examination (CBE), PST, PET, Medical Examination (DME/ RME) and document verification. Male and female candidates will be shortlisted state-wise, area-wise and category wise based on their merit in the CBT mode.
