A two-seater trainer aircraft with a pilot and trainee on board went missing after it took off at 11am from an aerodrome in Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum district on Tuesday.
Officials said the aircraft belonging to flying school Alchemist Aviation took off from Sonari aerodrome.
A n official said: “A search was started but after the statement of an eye-witness, we have narrowed down the search in the Chandil Dam as he saw the aircraft crashing down in the dam. We have not located the debris yet. We have written to the NDRF which will begin its search Wednesday morning.”
