Top Hizbul commander interrogated in J-K

JK police has taken custody of Jameel from Himachal Pradesh police and has brought him to Doda.

After taking custody of a top Hizbul Mujahideen commander Jameel Ahmed,Jammu and Kashmir police today interrogated him in Doda district on hawala money and financial sources of the outfit among other cases.

“JK police has taken custody of Jameel from Himachal Pradesh police and has brought him to Doda,where he was interrogated,” DIG Manish Sinha told PTI today.

Jameel Ahmed alais Nasir Wureshi and his body guard Gulam Nabi were arrested from Kangra district on December 14.

They were interrogated and handed over to JK police,he said.

Ahmed is believed to be the Divisional Commander (Finance) of Hizbul Mujahideen.

Another Divisional Commander of the outfit Javed Qaureshi was arrested from Dehradun in Uttrakhand on December 12 and was handed over to JK police last week.
