Three more die in UP due to cold; death toll reaches 92

Cold conditions prevailed in most parts of the state and clouds hovered in many places.

Three more persons,including two children,died due to severe cold conditions in Uttar Pradesh,taking the toll in the state this winter to 92.

The three persons,including an eight-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl,died due to cold in Barabanki district in the last 24 hours,officials said here.

Lucknow recorded a minimum temperature of 1.4 degrees Celsius this morning,which was six notches below normal,while Varanasi recorded a low of 2.7 degree Celsius,six notches below normal.

Kanpur shivered at 2.2 degree Celsius,which was six notches below normal,while the minimum temperature in Allahabad settled at 4.8 degree Celsius,four degrees below normal.

Agra recorded a minimum of 1 degree Celsius,which was six degrees below normal.
