Sadhana Amte’s mortal remains laid to rest

Sadhana Amte's body was buried close to the memorial of her husband as per he wish.

The mortal remains of Sadhana-tai,the widow of the late social worker Baba Amte,was laid to rest at Anandwan,near Warora in Chandrapur district on Sunday.

She breathed her last on Saturday afternoon after a brief illness,and as per her wishes,her body was buried close to the memorial of her husband.

Besides her sons Dr Vikas and Dr Prakash Amte and other family members,Maharashtra Minister Sanjay Deotele,BJP state president Sudhir Mungattiwar,former MP Eknath Thakur,city Deputy Mayor Shelhar Sawarbandhe,District Collector Vijay Waghmare and Superintendent of Police Suvez Haq were among the mourners present.
