The controversial Sri Ram Sene has finally found well wisher in the form of some right wing organisations in Goa. "Goa is hosting Ravan Rajya. In the circumstances wherein temples are desecrated, casino culture is encouraged and minors are raped,we need organisations like Sene which will preach the good values," Hindu Janajagruti Samiti convenor Jayesh Thali said this morning. "Should we encourage SIMI,if not Sri Ram Sene? It's (Sene) a registered organisation and in the democratic country,it has a right to open up branches in any state," Thali said. He said that blind aping of western culture in the state has promoted bad values. Thali added that opposing Sene is supporting the western culture. "Why there should be oppose to Sri Ram sene? When rapes have become order of the day in the state and drug culture has percolated in our society, what's wrong in having the organisation which preaches righteous values?" questioned Hindu Mahasabha Goa President Shivprasad Joshi. Joshi,in his statement published in daily Sanatan Prabhat,a mouthpiece of Sanatan Saunstha organisation, has said that youths in Goa are waiting for Sri Ram Sene. "Sene is the answer for Ravan Rajya which is supported by politicians here," he reacted. This week,Goa Home Minister Ravi Naik had dared Sene chief Pramod Mutalik to set up the base in the state. His views were echoed by Congress and BJP with the latter terming the right wing organisation which came into limelight after the Mangalore pub incident,as bunch of crooks and criminals. Mutalik in his interviews had expressed his intentions to hold public rally in the state and set up branch here to oppose the widespread pub culture.
