Policeman shot dead by militants

Militants on Tuesday shot dead a policeman in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Constable Mohammad Shafi Dar was shot at from a close range by militants at Tujjar Sharief in Sopore,55 kms from here,at 10.15 AM,officials said.

Dar was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a manhunt for the assailants.
