Accusing BSP of misusing government machinery in Uttar Pradesh,SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday said his party will petition the Election Commission and demand removal of officials holding key posts,including the chief secretary and the director general of police.
“Till the time the DGP,chief secretary and ADG (law and order) are holding the office,free and fair elections are not possible in UP as they are working as agents of the ruling BSP,” Mulayam told reporters here.
“A delegation of the party will soon meet the Chief Election Commissioner and the state electoral officer to lodge a complaint against these officials along with the necessary evidence and will demand their removal,” he added.
Yadav said that the SP had earlier lodged a complaint against these officials,but they were let off by the commission due to lack of evidence.Now we have concrete evidences against these officials.
Soon a delegation led by senior party leader Ram Gopal Yadav will meet the CEC and submit a memorandum,” he said.
The SP supremo alleged that on April 24,some senior officials held a meeting and a directed of administrative officials to ensure victory of BSP candidates.
Asked about their Prime Ministerial candidate,he said after elections the Samajwadi Party will hold a meeting with its allies — Lalu Prasad’s RJD and Ram Vilas Paswan’s LJP– and decide over the issue.
Regarding Left’s alliance with BSP,Yadav said,”We never ended our friendship with left parties,it was they who joined hands with corrupt people.”
